Cyber friends
One of the greatest things about the internet, and blogging for me is getting in touch with images, people and things you wouldn’t have found in any other way. The artist of the drawings above somehow found his way to this blog, liked it and started to follow it. And that’s how I found him, and his beautiful characteristic sketches. Do check them out! Isn’t internet the...

De l'eefstijl; Dutch fashion
D’leefstijl is the fashion- design and styling company by Eef Middendorp. Her first collection ‘een klein wonder’ (a little miracle) is breathtaking. It’s entirely in neutrals like white, ivory and beige. I’m loving the feminine forms and the details like pleats and ruches. It looks so well made, and it’s actually quite affordable too. You can buy the...

It’s all for people who love to be outside but also appreciate a bit of luxury. So me… ;) I love the tents they sell, but they have beautiful blankets, pillows and accessoires too. How cool is this bag? Thanks for...

Close your eyes... Dutch artist Sophie Heijkoop
Sophie Heijkoop (1982) is fascinated by the human soul. She tries to explore it through her paintings. I love these ‘closed eyes’ portraits because you can feel the personality of the subjects bursting of the canvas. I think that’s extra impressive without painting their glance. Sophie does drawings, aquarelles and sculptures as well.

Dutch artist Esther Nienhuis
Esther Nienhuis (1977) paintings of rain-covered windscreen views are inspired on her desire to be elsewhere. They bring up feelings of melancholy and farewell. The lighting and the suggested blur of the film of water on the windscreen is beautiful and give her realistic paintings an abstract feel. You can see more of her work here. Her work is sold online too.
